Liverpool Junior Event

This is one of the games played by 9 year old Kai Pannwitz who was playing in the under-12 section.
Kai is one of the clubs top juniors and also plays for Scotland. The game is very accurate and a good example of the opening preparation our modern players put in to play in graded events.
There was a lot of play left in the game but the position was about equal when they agreed a draw.

Uxbridge International Major

This is a game I played at the Uxbridge Tournament, I had a poor overall result but enjoyed every minute of this brilliant event. It was organized by E2-E4 Chess and I can honestly say the conditions were perfect. The hotel, food, playing rooms and general conditions were among the best I have experienced. If you have some time off coming up and you want to play some chess in perfect conditions you can follow the link from this page.

Club Championships 2010

In this game Andrew unusually missed a winning opportunity on move 21 and Steven recovered to play an accurate game to earn a draw against the clubs leading player.

Andrew Newton V Simon Bate

The Game is a Closed Sicilian and is a good game from Andrew who took advantage of a loose move by Black on move 7. White never really came under threat from his opponent who was 178 points higher rated.

Kai Pannwitz V Rueben Green

This was a game between the clubs leading juniors, a draw was not enough and it shows!.The game opening was a Ruy Lopez.

Nick Green V Arun Sharma

The following game was played between two parents of junior chess players, who play their own style of chess, its called "enjoyment"!,a style of chess a lot of "serious" players have forgot.I wish I had the knowledge to analyse this game for you but I am not imaginitive enough!
